METHODOLOGY

- Method of data collection:

    (i)  House-to-House canvasser method by Enumerator.

    (ii) Self enumeration (through SE Web portal) by Households and verified by Enumerator through House-to-House visit.

- Management & monitoring through web portal (CMMS).

- Formation of Geocoded Houselisting Blocks through Web Mapping App.

- Minimum descriptive entries through coded responses.

Census 2027 will be conducted in two phases in Mizoram State:

Phase 1: Houselisting and Housing Census (HLO) - April & May, 2026

Phase 2: Population Enumeration (PE) - February, 2027
