       It is a central scheme and implemented in Khawzawl RD Block since 2016 under the following 13 villages known as ‘Rurban Cluster’:-

     3. Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS)

       It is Centrally Sponsor Scheme implemented under Khawzawl RD Block covering 36 villages. Since the provision of sustainable livelihood for the rural poor is one of the objectives of MGNREGA, many works in connection with agriculture and             allied works, natural resource management, rural infra structure and individual assets have been undertaken under the scheme to enhance livelihood security of the rural poor, thereby creating a durable and productive rural assets.

      Construction of WRC, Construction of Irrigation Canal for WRC and other agriculture as well as horticulture purposes, Construction of Terrace for horticulture and agricultural crops, Farm Pond, Fish Pond, Individual & community water tank, side         drain & link drain, improvement of village internal road, etc are among an important works undertaken under MGNREGS.

      4. Integrated Watershed Management Project (IWMP)

         PMKSY/IWMP Champhai III covers five (5) villages -Khawzawl, Ngaizawl, Neihdawn, Tuipui leh Tualpui.
